Weekend in Ljubljana, Slovenia

If you are looking for a city break in Europe, but want to visit a smaller city that isn’t completely overrun with tourists - check out Ljubljana!

We visited in June. While the weather was a bit warmer than we’d like, we still had a blast exploring the area.

We stayed at the Intercontinental. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They have a rooftop restaurant and bar which offers interesting local delicacies (sausages, cheeses, etc). Breakfast is also served at this location. The spa is located on a high floor so you can spend time relaxing, while overlooking the castle and the city. Far&Low can offer you perks like free breakfast and $100 dining credit! (Use it to eat here - whether its on the rooftop or room service you won’t be disappointed).

From the Intercontinental, it is a short walk into the city. You can stroll along the river and stop in various cafes. There are also several cute shops. For a meal - we highly recommend Pop’s Pizza. Enjoy fresh pizza on their large terrace.

Sadly we missed the famous street market, so we will just have to return!
